Neil Cusworth steps down as Chairman of Enthalpy Australia but continues to serve the resources industry

Enthalpy founder and Director Neil Cusworth has stepped down as Chairman of Enthalpy Australia after 12 years in the role, with the primary objectives of improving his availability for project reviews, management consulting opportunities, and mentoring the next generation of mining professionals.

Enthalpy Director Stephen Bizzell says the search is on for the company’s new Chairman.

‘Neil is an exceptional industry leader. Neil started Enthalpy in 1988, identifying a key need in the mining industry for continuity in project management excellence. Over 800 projects and 180 clients later, Enthalpy is still going strong, working with over 150 Associates globally to support operators with their studies and projects in execution,’ says Stephen.

Neil retains 66% ownership in Enthalpy Australia, and remains non-executive Director of Enthalpy Australia, as well as Chairman of both Enthalpy Chile and Enthalpy North America.

Neil continues with his intellectual property development including the widely used Capital Investment System used by operators to optimise capital-intensive projects.

Neil also retains a strong interest and commitment to mentoring and coaching the next generation of mining professionals, both within and outside of Enthalpy. Neil is a fellow of the AusIMM and is both a facilitator of the AusIMM’s Cost Estimation short course, and contributor to the AusIMM Cost Estimation Handbook.

Neil’s resignation is effective from 29 September 2022.
