We offer qualified AIPM or PMP certified project managers who have a minimum of 20 years’ experience and are specialised in capital projects. Deliverables include project execution plans, project control plans, risk management plans, project resource structuring and specific project reporting.

Project Management Tools and Systems

Some clients require systems setup and configuration for data gathering, reporting and analysis. Enthalpy’s has wide experience in establishing planning and scheduling tools, cost controls tools, document control tools, risk management and analysis tools, finance and ERP (enterprise resource planning) tools, etc.

Project Administrators and Document Control

Project administration includes a basic executive assistance function, junior document controls, cost administration, scheduling, finance accounts payable, finance accounts receivable, and change management.

Our experienced study managers have a more consultative and investigative background to support options development and ensure you arrive at well-defined options and a logical pathway to the go-forward case.

Cost Engineering

We offer AACE certified cost engineers with engineering or quantity surveying backgrounds who can carry out re-measures and progress reconciliations, and review and estimate cost forecasts across major capital projects. Deliverables include monthly cost reports, time-phased cashflows, cost trending reports and earned value assessments.

Planning and Scheduling

We can provide Primavera P6 and MSP qualified planners and schedulers for project setups and program management, respectively. Our planners have experience in developing the appropriate WBS (work breakdown structure), innovative activity coding, accurate logic, appropriate durations, plant/labour resource loading, ‘reality check’ resource levelling, CPM, S-curve baseline reports, and ‘what if’ scenarios. Our schedulers are efficient status, forecast, reporting and advice providers. Deliverables include a monthly schedule report, critical path report, milestone report, weekly rolling windows, integrated schedule to tasks (Jira board), study schedule, execution schedule and basis of schedule.

Scope and Change Management

We offer change management specialists – often engineers or construction managers – with competency across technical disciplines and scope, who manage scope variations and project change. The change administrator documents trends having cost and schedule impacts, undertakes trend and change impact assessments and maintains a trend and change register.

Risk Assessments

Enthalpy’s experienced risk specialists with engineering, estimating or construction backgrounds help identify project risks that are likely to impact scope, cost and schedule. Using the deterministic risk review, they construct a matrix to rank and qualitatively score risk impacts and likelihoods. This information is used to determine mitigative measures and assess the appropriate level of overall construction contingency to be applied. Further support includes a quantitative risk assessment, supporting risk cost and schedule ranging, applying risk to point estimate, and performing Monte Carlo analyses. Deliverables include a routine update to the risk register.

Estimators

We provide certified cost estimators and quantity surveyors with experience in current estimating software (Candy, Expert Estimator Genesis, CostX, etc.) to develop local and international rates/productivities that can be applied across different industries and locations. You’ll need these estimators for study stage gate estimates, check estimates or major changes to approved budgets. Deliverables include study estimates, capital and execution estimates (Class 5 to Class 1), basis of estimate, estimate plans, estimate information packs, escalation calculations, and productivity KPI (key performance indicator) reports.

Quantity Surveyors

Our certified quantity surveyors have experience determining take-off quantities and measuring installed quantities for payment claim verification. Deliverables include monthly payment claim assessments.

Design Management

Enthalpy’s experienced document controllers support the information management process, typically working as the interface between client and contractors, ensuring the flow of information is received by appropriate stakeholders and treated within the contractual period. Services include maintaining the master document register and coordinating the document control system.

Contract Management and Administration

We offer experienced commercial lawyers and contract administrators to support management of contracts and contractors. The contract administrator ensures the contract services are in line with agreed terms and conditions and that the deliverables are timely, complete, and accurate before authorising payment. Services include supporting the payment claim process, managing variations, and documenting delay and disruption claims.

Finance

Experienced financial control professionals are often bookkeepers, accountants or accounting clerks who have sufficient expertise to manage a project’s finance function. They can establish a project chart of accounts, map actuals into the project cost system, arrange financial commitments and invoicing, make payments, and forecast payments and revenue.

Commercial Management

Sitting across the procurement and contract administration capabilities, our commercial management professionals interface between the client and external vendors to assure the appropriate contract type and vendor, and contract strategy are used, to ensure performance management requirements are met, and undertake risk externalisation/assignments, and provide ongoing contractor oversight.
