Enthalpy Pty Ltd is pleased to announce project management specialist Evan Karjalainen of K Project Services has joined Enthalpy as General Manager for Project Management Services.

Evan has over 30 years of experience in the resources, energy and government sectors, in Australia and Europe. During the last 14 years, Evan has specialised in project and commercial controls in owner and contractor organisations as both an employee and a consultant.  Enthalpy’s associate model allows experts like Evan to be carefully selected to match complementary skills into project owners teams.  ’Enthalpy has an extensive history in delivering successful project management services, having run numerous large projects over 30 years’, said Enthalpy’s Chief Executive officer, Paul Harper.  ‘We’re very pleased to have Evan on board to continue to develop and grow our Project Management Services in Australia and to work with our broader local and global project management network, as well as to grow our local team’, added Paul.

As an experienced consultant Evan specialises in project controls, commercial, planning, finance and contract management, claims and estimation. Evan’s specialty is providing general project management services and advice on major capital projects.

In addition to his project controls experience and having undertaken several multi-industry major capital project health checks, Evan undertook a 9-month development project to produce an industry-leading estimating system for a large infrastructure project. His project supported rapid first principles estimates that were used for long-term capital planning.

Evan holds a Masters of IT from the University of New South Wales and a Masters of Science – Mechanical and Process Systems from Cranfield University. Evan volunteers his time to undertake Chief Financial Officer duties for two non-profit organisations in Australia.

Evan is based in Brisbane, Australia.
