Objectives
Enthalpy was asked to develop and implement, based on targeted principles/objectives, a Capital Investment System for a major Australian energy provider to use across its business stream/projects. One of these projects was a feasibility study, followed by construction of 72 wind turbine generators which power a major desalination plant. Application of Enthalpy’s CIS enabled the business case to be efficiently developed through feasibility to an investment decision.
Solutions
Enthalpy’s team conducted interviews as part of a diligent investigation and held workshops that led to the approval of a project-specific Policy Manual, Minimum Standards and Toolkits. A Work Breakdown Structure for study execution, schedules, Project Controls System, Study Execution Plan, budget (study and project), contracting strategy, cost reporting system, and weekly and monthly progress reporting were also developed. Enthalpy also provided in-depth training across several locations. Enthalpy then provided project management services to assist in the delivery the $180M construction project. Enthalpy’s Project Controls System ensured on-time, on-budget delivery from project execution to completion.
